Today was a special day on “Live with Kelly”. Her real life hubby, Mark, joined the star of the show at the co-host desk. I always thought he should be her first choice for co-host, because they give off that classic Lucille Ball and Desi Armaz vibe that I love. The pair was just as delightful as ever this morning!
To commemorate his first guest co-hosting gig on break from “Pitch”, the pair rushed to social media to share photos from a business Christmas party tonight and their early morning travels to work.
Check out the quote below that accompanied Kelly Ripa’s Christmas photo above:
“@instasuelos and me getting ready to get our groove on at the Live! holiday fest. Hoping to have a buzzy viewing of @pitchonfox tonight at 9pm after.#pitch”

Also, Mark shared on Instagram this morning: “Heading to J-O-B..co-hosting my #1 Gonna talk about @pitchonfox ..and other stuff…#pitch”
I really hope she chooses him as her co-host this time around!

Actor Reginald Robinson Jr has quite an impressive resume. The dedicated actor, who hails from Florida, has found a second home in Chicago among his acting family. “Romeo and Juliet”, “Henry V”, “Run, Chris, Run” and “Ghosts of Treasure Island “are just a few of the intriguing plays he has been apart of in The Windy City. The Florida State University grad (with a Masters in Fine Arts) is now starring as Jason in Debbie Tucker Green’s “dirty butterfly” at the Halcyon Theatre. BTSCelebs was recently given the opportunity to virtually sit down with Mr. Robinson and ask him a few questions about himself and his new project.
BTSCelebs: Who is Reginald Robinson Jr?
Reginald Robinson Jr: Who am I…I’m a Chicago actor by way of St. Petersburg, Florida. I’m playing Jason in Halcyon Theatre and The Blind Owl’s coproduction of “dirty butterfly”.
How did you get your start in theatre?
I got my start in theatre through American Stage Theatre’s summer camp in St. Pete. My mother enrolled me in it after seeing I had an interest in theatre, sparked by my father who was also an actor.
Tell us about one memorable moment during your very first production.
There have been many memorable moments, but the one that sticks out was during camp when I was Mr. Sylvester McMonkey McBean in Dr. Suess’ “The Sneetches”. In the show, through movement and ensemble presence, we used ourselves as props and set pieces. One of the things we created together was a car that I rode on. As a kid in summer camp it was fun to watch the production come to life without the use of any real props. As I’ve continued my education and career, I see how important the exercise was in laying the foundation for the most basic skill set in this profession.
Name one actor who is the biggest influence on your acting career. How have they influenced you?
Recently it’s been Max von Sydow. Max immerses himself into every role he has played and takes the smallest roles and transforms them into some of the most memorable moments of those movies. To most people his character work precedes his name and that is something to strive for.
Why did you choose to be apart of dirty butterfly?
The “dirty butterfly” script is interesting in the fact that it forces audience members to examine the effects of multiple viewpoints of a scenario. It confronts us with the choice to stand idly by or intervene. What we do or don’t do defines who we are.
Tell us about the character you play.
I play Jason in the show. He’s a caring individual who has been ensnared by voyeurism. I wouldn’t necessarily say it’s a sexual manner, but rather he needs closure to the story of what is playing out on the other side of the wall.

Are there any similarities between the character you play and your own personality?
There are a lot of similarities between Jason and all of us. We’ve all been that neighbor who stands still trying to not make noise while you listen to an argument in your shared hallway. It’s the reason reality tv is so popular. We can now sit on our couch and watch the action through a screen while feeling a few steps further removed .
What projects can fans look forward to seeing you in 2017?
Following “dirty butterfly” I will be in Level 11 Theatre’s “The Library” and the “Forty-Two Stories” with CityLit this spring.

“Merry Christmas, Baby” is poised to be a classic.
Actors Malinda Williams, Karon Riley, GregAlan Williams, Chrystale Wilson, DeEtta West, Brad James and Victoria Rowell star in one of the most heartwarming Christmas films of the season. In “Merry Christmas, Baby”, Marci is obsessed with making her baby girl Chandler’s first Christmas as posh as possible. She is convinced her child’s first Christmas/birthday must be celebrated in grand locations showering her with expensive gifts.

When her relatives open their hearts to adopting a precious young girl, her hubby Blair (Karon Riley) and mom (Victoria Rowell) form a new bond over loss, Marci’s eyes begin to open to what is truly worthwhile. It doesn’t matter how much you give during the holidays….it’s how much love you show others that makes the difference. For this lovely family, it’s love for their family and immediate neighbors.
I applaud the cast and crew of “Merry Christmas, Baby” for making a film with such an important message. I actually enjoyed this film much more than the previous ones. The only complaint I have is that the wardrobe was a little risque at times, but the overall movie was wonderful.
Don’t miss “Merry Christmas, Baby” this Sunday at 7PM EST on UP tv.

It’s “Gilmore Girls” meets “My Best Friend’s Wedding”!
“Married by Christmas” literally mirrored two of my favorite TV shows/movies growing up by incorporating a businesswoman, a controlling deceased relative, a gay guy and loads of girl talk between Carrie and her Sookie St. James-like co-worker.
In the film, Carrie Tate (Jes MaCallan) pretty much goes on a wild goose chase to find a man to marry before her sister (April Bowlby) ties the knot on Christmas. Her grandmother’s will promises her business ownership to the husband of whoever gets hitched first. After 7 dedicated years of working at the family business, Carrie thinks she deserves it, and she is determined to have the company belong to her. Unfortunately, her plans are thwarted when she accidentally asks a gay family friend (Ryan Caltagirone) to marry her, and falls in love with another guy (Coby Ryan McLaughlin).
The concept of this show was lighthearted and fun, but it dragged on a little bit. I would have liked more original twists and turns in the plot and a stellar soundtrack.
Nonetheless, if you want a simple holiday film to watch….without too much drama, this one is for you.
“Married by Christmas” aired last weekend on UP tv.
