Actor Rhys Matthew Bond captured the UP television audience this year with his role as an emotionally scarred teen named Cameron in “Ties That Bind” . Viewers may also remember him being featured in “The Unauthorized Saved by the Bell Story” and “R.L. Stine’s The Haunting Hour”. In real life, this handsome hard-working young man is an up-and-coming global star who hails from London, UK.
BTSCelebs was recently given the opportunity to interview Rhys and talk to him about his latest role, future work and exclusive BTS info.
Well….let’s get started, BTSCelebers!
BTSCelebs: Who is Rhys Matthew Bond?
Rhys Matthew Bond: I am passionate and enthusiastic about acting, and I love what I do. I believe in hard work and being the best that you can possibly be. I also believe that one should never give up on their dreams because they are real possibilities to explore.
How did you land the role of Cameron Olson in “Ties That Bind”?
I initially auditioned for the role of Jeff, and received 2 call backs and a chemistry read. A few days later, I was called to come and read for the role of Cameron which I later on got.
Tell us about one memorable experience behind-the-scenes during season one.
My birthday was during filming and my amazing cast sister and cousins throw a birthday party for me on set. They decorated and filled my trailer with balloons, organized a birthday lunch, and blasted me with water guns when we were wrapped. It was a very special day.
If the show gets picked up for season 2, how do you want your character to grow?
I would like to see Cameron overcoming his emotional turmoil, and find a way to rise above the constant letdown that he gets from his parents.
Who is your role model in the acting world?
My acting role models are Robert De Niro and Christopher Walken.
If you had the opportunity to star in any popular movie franchise based on young adult novels… which one would you choose and why?
I don’t have a special favorite, I will be honoured to play and be part of any type of a novel. I love dramatic roles where you have to research and study the character that you are portraying to be.
Who is your favorite recording artist… past and present?
My favorite singers are Kurt Cobain and Clemens Rehbein.
Who is your favorite social media star?
My favorite social media star is Roman Atwood.
What projects can we look forward to seeing you star in 2016?
The first project that you will be seeing me in 2016 is Good Witch Season 2 for the Hallmark Channel, where I play the role of Nick Radford.

Fall fun!
I’m going to level with you… I haven’t seen “Summer Forever” yet, but I’m absolutely in love with behind the scene looks at interesting projects. So, when I found out Megan Nicole shared an exclusive BTS video of her first film, I had to share it!
The four minute video is funny, quirky and not nearly long enough for true fans of the movie. Check out the small glimpse of their 19 day filming journey below:
YouTube starlet Bethany Mota is very excited about her 2015 Fall fashion line at Aéropostale. She recently shared the following tweet promoting the clothes she especially designed for her virtual “besties”.
These two YouTube girls seem to be having a blast this year, and they love sharing the fun.

He continues to make history!
Yesterday, one of my favorite award shows held their 46th annual ceremony. The Dove Awards honored some fan favorites at Lipscomb University in Nashville, Tennessee. Many took home the golden doves for their outstanding achievements in the entertainment industry, but Lecrae made history by winning three… and becoming the first genuine hip hop artist to win Artist of The Year. (By genuine I mean the first artist whose career has solely been about hip hop.)
The Grammy Award Winner won Rap Hip/Hop Song of the Year for the song “All I Need Is You”, Rap Hip/Hop Album of the Year for the album “Anomaly” and of course….Artist of the Year.
His “Anomaly” album has really taken him to new heights. Congratulations to Lecrae!

In addition to reading Sarah Jakes’ latest release, BTSCelebs will soon give you another review for fabulous back-to-back book reviews!
I’m currently on chapter 4 in Tracie Peterson’s newest book “Love Everlasting”. It’s the riveting conclusion to her Brides of Seattle series. Readers are finally given the chance to focus on Brianna and her love triangle between longtime friend Wade and rich suitor Priam.
I’m excited to discover what happens to the most vocal character in the brides trilogy. Abrianna is definitely a modern woman living in the past and fascinating to read about.
Stay Tuned for both reviews in the coming weeks!
*A Special Thanks to Bethany House for review copies of the books.*
Austin Mahone is unofficially taking over Ashton Kutcher‘s old “Punk’d” job.
Recently, the pop singer uploaded a hilarious video of himself in disguise surprising his fans that visited his wax figure at Madame Tussauds’ Orlando gallery. The Mahomies were beyond shocked when their favorite celeb popped up next to the figure.

Last year, BTSCelebs reviewed “Cinderella” on Broadway in Chicago, and I absolutely adored it!
Tomorrow, Lyric Opera debuts Gioachino Rossini’s version of the timeless tale of a mistreated young woman who eventually meets a Prince and lives happily ever after. Stars Isabel Leonard and Lawrence Brownlee take on the iconic roles of the Cinderella and the Prince.
In an official press release, Lyric’s general director, Anthony Freud, shared his impression of the retelling of the classic, “This production is zany and slightly surreal, but accessible and entertaining. It’s a fairytale environment with primary colors and a witty, quirky design, very Spanish in its aesthetic.”
Alessandro Corbelli, Vito Priante, Christian Van Horn join a host of other talented opera singers and actors in this revamped version of “Cinderella”.
I sincerely hope Rossini’s tale is just as great as the beloved Rodgers and Hammerstein’s version.

Da Bears season is off to a rough start!
Following losses to the Packers, Cardinals and Seahawks since the 2015-2016 season began, the legendary Chicago football team is already changing up the roster. Bears started with trading linebacker Jared Allen to the Carolina Panthers yesterday, and their 2013 NFL draft pick, linebacker Jonathan Bostic, to the New England Patriots today. News of Bostic’s trade hit the world wide web about an hour ago.
The inside linebacker wasn’t able to take part in the Bears’ current season or preseason training due to an ankle injury. His short tenure here is officially over as he heads to the East coast.
All the best to the guys to their future in Pro-football! BTSCelebs hopes the Bears turns this season around soon.
