[Interview] Nicole Weider: My Hubby and I Met Because of ‘The Language of God’ by Francis Collins

Model Nicole Weider has made a complete 360 in the modeling world! After spending precious years in a career she didn’t feel comfortable in, the popular married celeb is now encouraging young women of faith to stand up for modesty.

Being comfortable in the skin God has placed you in and serving Him with your body is the purpose behind her popular website Project Inspired.

My generation had GL(Girls’ Life), but the young ladies of today have PI!

BTSCelebs recently interviewed Mrs. Weider. We virtually talked about a range of topics from her personal experience in the Hollywood circuit to her beautiful love story with her hubby Mr. Weider.

BTSCelebs: Please shed some light on the dark side of the modeling/acting world. How did they persuade you to accept compromising jobs?

Nicole: My agent was the one who pointed out to me very matter-of-factly that I was too curvy to ever do fashion, and that my only ticket would be to model for swimwear and lingerie. Many photographers that were assigned to shoot me started suggesting that I unbotton my blouse and just cover my chest with my hands, and other various words to make me more vulnerable and susceptible to be influenced. My agency and other modeling agencies would frequently throw parties at Hollywood night clubs, to network and to be on the scene. It was really deceptive and ugly.

During your peak in Hollywood, which gig were you most proud to be apart of? the least?

I wouldn’t say I was truly “proud” of anything I had done, because the whole time I was compromising who I was on the inside. All of my jobs basically consisted of me displaying my sexuality. My least proud moment was being in Maxim magazine, which is funny because I wanted to be in it so bad. But when I saw the pictures online, I was embarrased, and wished I had never done it. I thank God for giving me a strong conviction after that moment, even before I began my walk with God.

Why did you create ProjectInspired.com?

I created it simply because I wish I had a site like this when I was a teenager when I was looking for advice about everything. Some topics are hard to discuss with your parents, and Project Inspired is a safe Haven for girls of all ages to lean on eachother, support one another and learn more about God all at the same time.

What makes your website different from other media outlets targeting young women?

My main mission it to tell girls that they are simply perfect and beautiful as God created them to be. Most other websites out there are trying to sell girls and women something constantly. “Buy this mascara, buy this outfit, buy this hair product,” mine is all about creating their sense of identity in who God made them to be and not what the world deems worthy.

Let’s get a little personal, you’re a married lady .Tell us your love story. How did you meet your husband?

We met at a restaurant by chance. I happened to be reading a book called “The Language of God” by Francis Collins (Which is fantastic!) and he overheard me talking about it with my friend. He mentioned to me he was reading the same book at the time. We hit it off immediately, and started dating. He then he proposed to me a year later and we got married on 11-11-11! It was truly a magical day.

What dating tips do you give your readers about finding the one?

First, accept yourself 100% completely with who God made you to be. You will never be happy or successful in finding your true love if you’re seeking someone else to make you feel accepted. You have to love yourself first. Second, prepare your mind and heart to start dating. Forget previous baggage, forgive yourself from previous mistakes, and focus on the future. Lastly, keep your eyes focused on the main thing- making God happy. Would God want you to date this person? Is he loving you like Jesus does?

A Special Thanks to Nicole Weider, Lori Lenz and FrontGate Media for the interview and image.
