Today, Tim Lovelace’s released an inspiring book meant to enlighten people from every generation.
“Green Rain: Inspiring Short Stories from the Unique Perspective of a Humorist” is a collection of short stories with a comedic twist. Even though some of the stories are laugh out loud funny, he ends them all with a valuable life lesson. Many are fond memories from Tim Lovelace’s childhood while others have family at its core.
Some of my personal favorites from the book are Holy Boldness, The Blue Racer and the Box Fan, and Just Let Go. Those stories paint a picture of unapologetically worshipping God in public, realizing fears are sometimes imaginary, and holding onto unnecessary things for too long. The Pursuit of the Ice Cream Truck is another good one about passionately pursing something desirable. I like how Tim Lovelace turns each real life story into a Biblical message that readers can learn from.
I highly recommend this project to anyone who loves the art of storytelling. The famed comedian and musician doesn’t bore readers with a long novel or even puzzle us with signature poetry. The stories are short and straightforward. Each one holds the promise of entertainment and wisdom.
