Movie Review: Darren Wilson’s “Father Of Lights”

“In the Christian Faith, God Seeks Man.” (Evangelist Reinhard Bonnke)

There is only one word to describe Darren Wilson’s documentary film…. Wow! After 98 minutes of sheer amazement, it is impossible for any Christian to not feel stronger in their walk with Christ. The God he describes is full of love and compassion and all we have to do is believe.

Personally, I feel “Father Of Lights” is more of a description of true Christianity. Judgement is non-existent, but God’s power is present to drive out demons, heal the sick and save souls.

I can honestly say that this is one of the best films I have ever seen. It really makes you think and examine your life.

Bollywood’s it girl Priyanka Chopra was chosen to be the first Indian model for “Guess Girl”. The campaign she is modeling for will be shown in the December issue of  popular mags like Harper’s Bazaar, Nylon, Paper, Marie Clare, Elle, and WSJ Magazine.

Priyanka tweeted a series of messages (and photos) today in celebration of her new gig.

A small book with a BIG message.

Dr. Derek Grier’s “Another 60 Minutes of Wisdom” (Growth On The Go) is a simple easy to read devotional book based on biblical principles.  The Grace Church pastor helps people with everyday problems like responsibilities, leadership issues in the workplace and relationships thru bible verses.

Some of my favorites were-

Minute 83: It describes the Godly man Christian women should hold out for. Marriage isn’t for everyone, but if you have to marry wait for the best.

Minute 88: This devotional talks about getting over yourself and loving your spouse wholeheartedly.

Minute 119:  This minute is about people who find fault in everyone… when they are usually the problem.

BTSCelebs recommends “Another 60 Minutes of Wisdom” to people of all ages. I’m anxious to check out his first book.

Veteran comedienne Carol Burnett met President Obama yesterday after she received the nation’s number one humor prize on Sunday. Carol was awarded the Mark Twain for American Humor, at the Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts.

Today, the president’s official Twitter account shared the image above and message below about the happy meet and greet.

Radio’s Latin princess is working overtime!

Radio and TV personality Nina Chantele returns to where it all began. This week, WCL’s Tuesday contributor made the announcement that she is going back to the first radio station that gave her a full time gig.

Nina via Facebook: “I’m BAAAACKK On Air in Miami! Back on the first full time station I’d ever been on. I’m feeling blessed and beyond elated. Please check ya girl out back in South Florida on 1035thebeat Mon-Sat. 10a-2p”

A day later, she explained how her new job ties into her current ones.

“My apologies, allow me to clarify please: 

I guess I should’ve added ALL INFO in the previous post. LOL. NO…I’M NOT LEAVING CHICAGO RADIO AT ALL! I will be on air in Miami IN ADDITION to The Morning Riot 5a-9a on WGCI 107.5 Radio, 11a on Windy City LIVE on ABC 7, and 2p-4p on 1035 KISS FM.”
