Following the successful spring debut of “Galahad and the Grail,” Malcom Guite’s second book “The Coming of Arthur” is coming your way on November 9th, according to an official press release from Turning Point Media Relations.
The Rabbit Room Press book is part two in the “Merlin’s Isle: An Arthuriad” series. “The Coming of Arthur” takes readers on a journey to Tintagel. This is where Arthur is raised by Sir Ector, tutored by Merlin, and eventually gets the aid of elves and knights on his wise path to the throne.
Priest and poet Malcolm Guite: “I was well aware as I wrote this that we are living through a crisis of ‘masculinity’ for contemporary young men. How does one become a man? Who can you trust and follow? We hear so much, sometimes unhelpfully, of ’toxic masculinity.’ But what about healthy, vibrant, life-giving masculinity? The kind of manhood that not only leads but also serves. I hope the story of The Coming of Arthur, and his journey from youth to manhood, and especially his founding of the Round Table with its essential oath of chivalry and courtesy, will fill a gap and meet a need for positive examples of true manhood.”
BTSCelebs will review this new poetic book by early next month. In the meantime, enjoy reading my review of “Galahad and the Grail” by clicking here.
A special thanks to Turning Point Media Relations and Rabbit Room Press for the advanced reader copy of the book.
