Stacey Dash’s debut book There Goes My Social Life: From Clueless to Conservative is the most incredible roller coaster ride ever! Her autobiography is raw, open and honest to a fault. And I have to say….. I love her for it.

To be completely honest, Ms. Dash’s messy life (in her early years), blunt political views and long journey to redemption is a tough pill to swallow. It took me months to finally finish reading it! I was horrified by the cursing and descriptions of the many levels of abuse. So, I can say that I was overcome with emotion while reading the 246 pages of her book. I was heartbroken by the retelling of abuse and neglect she endured as a child. Her promiscuous young adult life left me completely baffled. But, her ultimate acceptance of salvation through Jesus Christ is what won me over.

Now, I don’t agree with everything she stated in the book. (Example: I don’t talk politics, because I think everyone should do their own research when it comes to candidates.) Nonetheless, I respect her for telling her life story and trusting the world to accept her as she is. That is not an easy thing to do!  I applaud her for taking off any mask and coming clean.

If you are looking to read an autobiography sans sugarcoating that has a happy ending, this book is for you.
