“Freaky Friday” The Musical is a must see!

If you were a fan of the 2003 version of “Freaky Friday”, you’ll be completely blown away by Cozi Zuehlsdorff and Heidi Blickenstaff’‘s new film. The music is fantastic and story is surprisingly different than its predecessors.

“Freaky Friday” 2018 follows the story of a “lazy” teen struggling in school and her “control freak” mom. On the surface, all we see are their flaws, but the love these two have for their family is heartwarming. Ellie (Cozi Zuehlsdorff) is so heartbroken over her father’s death, while her mom, Katherine (Heidi Blickenstaff’), has become overly protective of her children following the family tragedy. They switch bodies thanks to a magical hourglass and the mayhem begins! Kathrine struggles with the trials of high school bullying, Ellie’s first potential boyfriend and difficult classes. Ellie, on the other hand, has to adjust to her mom’s hectic wedding planner schedule for her upcoming nuptials. Thankfully, the characters are able to express their emotions vividly by performing lively songs in the film. Viewers get a taste of Broadway with that amazing Disney flair. Of course, Disney didn’t forget to properly update this version through the digital list for “The Hunt”. That app plays a pivotal role in helping mom and daughter switch back.

This “Freaky Friday” is a movie you will want to watch again and again with your family and friends. Well done, cast and crew!

Actors Jason Maybaum, Alex Desert, Ricky He (from “Christmas Solo“) and many more talent stars rounded out the wonderful cast. Click Here to learn more about the extended cast and the new film.

Don’t miss “Freaky Friday” when it premieres on Disney Channel this Friday, August 10 at 8PM [EST].
