Love is on display!

In March, Dagny Griffin makes her debut with the vibrant children’s book “Shine”. The wonderful, wordless, picture book illustrates the daily life of a cheerful 8-year-old girl named Mia. The lively child is on a mission to show God’s love and share joy to everyone around her. “Shine” shows readers how diligent she prays, reads her bible and encourages the people she encounters. Her infectious joy slowly brings life to the depressed and dreary city.

Whether she is doing chores or showing love to her enemies, Mia never lets anything steal her joy. I feel like children and adults alike can learn so much from this positive story based on the biblical passage Matthew 5:14, which is about Christians letting their light shine in the world. This is a must-see book!

Laura Bobbiesi deserves an honorable mention with the fun and intriguing illustrations she contributed.
