Yesterday, The Wood Drake Sessions’ “East to West” album was released. You can now listen to the sweet and soothing sounds of the worship duo’s first full length album in four years.
Serenity is the best word to describe “East to West.” Song meanings range from adoration of God to questioning His love in uncertain times. It’s an honest journal of praise that is designed for churches to sing on Sunday morning or during special events. Of course, it’s great for solo/prayer time too.
The Wood Drake Sessions’ members, Paul Ranheim and Kirk Sauers, co-wrote all 11 songs on the project. Stand out tracks include: “Follow Your Heart,” “Bless The Lord O My Hands,” “Rock Of Ages To The End,” and “Feast In The Fathers Land, and “Love Of The Lord.” These singles shine due to the emotional message and worship/folk sound each one brings. Listeners are swept away be the assurance the singers have in God.
“East to West” was produced by Lucas Morton and features guest talents Skye Peterson, Andrew Osenga, Caroline Cobb, Mission House, and more, according to a press release from Turning Point Media Relations.
