The Superbowl is this Sunday and its time to focus on other popular celebs on and off YouTube.

It might be too late for this year (let’s get a head start on 2014), but if you had a choice who would you choose to be in a Superbowl Ad?

Let’s place a spotlight on Justin Chon and Kev Jumba!

Justin Chon started his career in the entertainment industry. I think I remember him stating in a PopSeoul interview that his first role was on a commercial… possibly for a cell phone. Nonetheless, I loved his acting in Teen Nick’s Just Jordan and I was surprised when he opened a YouTube channel. The comedy there is geared more toward adults, but this actor is expanding his talents beyond the silver screen.

I’m not too familar with Kev Jumba.

 

I heard about him thru former websites I contributed too. He is a comedian that made his big break become a reality thru YouTube.com. According to his official website, his inspiration is Dave Chapelle and Kev uploads for a good cause.

” [He] started a second channel on Youtube called “Jumbafund” that he publishes videos to, and donates the proceeds he earns from advertising to charity,” Kev states on kevjumba.com.

Ryan Higa and Megan Lee: Will They Surpass Psy?

The “Gangnam Style” fire is starting to simmer down and the world is looking for the next big thing… on YouTube!

After years of working in the K-entertainment circuit, I heard the names Megan Lee and Ryan Higa, but I never knew much about either of them. All I knew was Megan was a teen actress/singer and Ryan was the funny guy (comedy geared toward grown-ups) on YouTube.

Years later, I discovered these two have hit the YouTube jackpot! Ryan is a megastar with well over a billion channel views and Megan has landed a contract with an entertainment agency in South Korea. Separately, they have achieved a great deal, but put these two together and I think Psy may have some stiff competition!

They both have big personalities. She has the music and he has the name…. I mean comedy. Together, they are “Gangnam Style” with the Asian style to top it off.

Psy may have gotten the SuperBowl Commercial, but Ryan has already released his video on YouTube. I’m highly anticipating the next big act after Psy….and I just wonder if they have the “Y” Factor.

Following his jam-packed show yesterday, YouTube sensation Ryan Beatty hit the Chicagoland circuit once again. He made an appearance at an AT&T store in the Westfield Fox Valley Mall in Aurora, IL this afternoon.

Fans made his presence known on Twitter with the hashtag and created a tweeting frenzy! The hashtag became one of the most popular global trending topics in the afternoon.

Recently, the media has been speculating the possibility of the New York Jets quarterback Tim Tebow joining the Chicago Bears. His former football mentor Marc Trestman, who helped train him for the 2010 draft and Senior Bowl, was hired in Chi-town.
