[Interview] White Sox Gordon Beckham and Brittany Fletcher Plan November Wedding
BTSCelebs: How did you meet?
Gordon and Brittany: We actually met here in Chicago. We are both from Atlanta, GA, and had always knew of one another, but didn’t actually meet until 2010. We were actually set up through his agent who happens to be Brittany’s brother’s and dad’s as well. We give Mike all the credit 😉
Were you a fan of each other’s claim to fame? (Baseball and Reality TV)
We are both just extremely supportive of whatever we both have going on in our lives. Ha ha half the time we both forget that we even have some sort of “claim to fame.”
When did you know you wanted to spend the rest of your life together?
People have always said, “When you know, you know.” We both feel that we have always known, but the more that our relationship grew, and the more we fell in love; It was without a doubt something we both knew, we were meant to spend the rest of our lives together. =)
How do you plan to spend Valentine’s Day 2013?
We actually won’t be together on Valentine’s Day 😦 But we do have a little trip planned in a couple weekends before Gordon heads to Spring Training.
Please tell us more about your upcoming wedding: Have you chosen the day? What designers will you choose to design your wedding gown and tux?
YES!! We finally did choose a date, November 9th, 2013. It will be in Atlanta where we both are from. I’ve attached a picture of the venue.

We haven’t started looking for our attire yet. Gordon says that Britt will be searching for a dress for who knows how long. I’m just excited we have booked a venue. Britt and I are ready to elope, who ever thought a wedding would be so much work.
(Britt) – I beg to differ..I will know when I put the right one on. =) But couldn’t agree more with Gordon, having the Venue booked is a huge step. Now I need a wedding planner. haha
Now that you have found each other, do you have any advice to singles who are still searching for the perfect spouse?
When you meet the right person, you will know. As frustrating as love can sometimes be, don’t give up; because when you least expect it, God will bless you. =) Always put God first, stay true to who you are, and make each other your main priority. We are both marrying not only the love of our lives, but our best friend; we really are truly blessed. =)

BTSCelebs Exclusive Interview with MaryMary’s Desmond and Alana Jamison
BTSCelebs: How did you feel about your engagement/wedding being broadcast to a television audience on We TV?
DES: I think it was cool… It gave our family and friends that didn’t get an opportunity to attend the wedding a chance to feel like they were still a part of it all.
ALANA: Well, I was initially completely against the whole reality tv thing initially. Des’ grandfather got sick and his grandparents were not able to make it to the wedding. Allowing them to be apart of our experience without actually being there meant a lot.
Walk us through the steps in your wedding dress and tux designing: Did you tailor make your bridesmaid and groomsmen attire?
DES: I wore a 6 button peak tuxedo tailcoat by Cardi in the wedding with a white paisley ascot. I always imagined myself wearing “tails”… It made me feel like a prince about to marry my long lost princess lol! My groomsmen wore slim fit 2 button tuxes by Calvin Klein.
ALANA: Goo Goo and I came up with the dress design. I had an idea of what I wanted my dress to look like, but Goo set me up with a dress maker helped me cross the t’s and dot the i’s so to speak.
My nephew, Jared Williams, actually made the dresses. Picking a design and fabric was a headache because the Atkins women are very curvaceous and 2 bridesmaids were pregnant, so I had to be cautious of the different body types. After some whining from the bridesmaids, I did finally pick a design I got the least amount of complaints from.
If you had the opportunity to guest star on any reality show or regular TV drama currently airing, which project would you choose and why?
DES: Hmmm… Do I have to pick just one?! Lol Well, I have to say that “Scandal” is one of my favorites. I definitely could see myself in that… Maybe as one of Olivia’s clients. Or maybe the new show on BET called “Real Husbands of Hollywood”. It looks like they have fun.
ALANA: I have no clue, I don’t watch much tv. Never thought of doing anything else on tv honestly, but if I had to choose….hmmmmm…probably Scandal or an adventurous show like Survivor.
BTSCelebs is a blog all about the behind-the-scenes aspect of the entertainment industry, do you think you will start a blog of your own about married life and becoming a Jamison household?
DES: You know, to be honest, I’ve never really thought about that. I’m not sure.
ALANA: Probably not.
Will Goo Goo and Justin follow in your footsteps and get married on the show?
DES: Married??? Wow! Uh, I don’t know. They have to get engaged first! Which means they’ll probably want to live in the same city first. I mean, it is a possibility for the future but I don’t know. He has to buy that hardware (a ring) first.
ALANA: Well first we don’t know if they will marry at all. If they choose to, they may opt out due to a lot of negativity given to Justin. I don’t feel the show accurately portrays him as a person or his and Goo’s relationship. You only see bad moments of their relationship, which leads most to think that is how it always is between them. I think some changes would need to be made in order for that to happen.

Soshified’s Soy: “The Fans in America Really Want Girls Generation to Come”
Welcome Soy to BTSCelebs!
Soy is the founder of the largest online international fan community for the K-Pop girl group Girls Generation (also known as SNSD). The 9 member group, who is managed by SM Entertainment, has over 200,000 members on Soshified alone. Soy has put together a total of 176 staff members and maintained an average of 10 million monthly page views on the fan site.
What does the successful fan girl CEO think about GG’s new hit single, what plans does Soshified have to celebrate the project and will SMTown ever perform a family concert in Chicago? Those questions and more will be answered when BTSCelebs interviews Soy from Soshified.
BTSCelebs: How did you start Soshified?
Soy: I became interested in Girls’ Generation in late December 2007. At the time, there wasn’t a reliable source for just solely the group. I wanted to learn more about them,as well as, meet other fans of theirs, so I decided to start Soshified.com. The original name for Soshified was actually Soshi-Rolls but since it was taken, we decided on going with Soshified. From that point, we started the forum for the site and develop everything else years later:)
When did the opportunity to work with SM Entertainment and hold fan-meetings with Girls Generation arise?
The fan meetings with Girls’ Generation was the work of Soshified.com alone. We have no affiliations with SM Entertainment. Girls’ Generation just happened to have schedules the same weekend as the fan meeting we wanted to hold in America and was very enthusiastic about meeting the fanbase in America. Basically the timing was good.
What do you think of GG’s new hit “I Got A Boy”?
I enjoy the whole album actually. I Got A Boy is a very interesting track with a lot of layers so I never get tired of it. I’m already starting to memorize some of the lyrics. It’s my daily listen when I head to class.
Will Soshified have any “I Got A Boy” club activities (dance covers, giveaways, etc) this year?
Yes! We are in the works of holding multiple events this year in the USA. We’re also trying to promote the group on various radios and sites. The fans in America really want Girls’ Generation to come!
The “Bring SMTown to Chicago” group is very passionate about bringing the popular concert series to the Windy City, do you think the SMFamily or GG are interested in holding a family or solo concert here in the near future?
I have no say in that but I know the Girls always want to meet fans no matter where they are from.

The Words of American Idol Winners in 2013
Who will be the next American Idol?
“American Idol” premieres tomorrow on Fox. Now, I haven’t been a fan of the show from the very beginning, but I have to admit the audition episodes are the very best. They are hilarious and warms your home in the freezing winter months.
I may not religiously follow the show, however, I peek in every now and then. I know all the winners of the show by name….even if I can’t always remember the season they won.
The BTS fact of the audition episodes is that they are purely for entertainment purposes. When I auditioned in 2009, there were so many extremely talented singers at the first round, there is absolutely NO REASON why so called bad singers make it to the TV judges round (aka the 3rd round. I guess the only answer is to entertain you the viewer. I highly enjoy it!
