BTSCelebs: The movie revolves around surfing, are you athletic in real life?
Rachel Hendrix: Yes, I was actually so stoked to get a chance to surf in South Africa. Our bodies are incredible powerhouses, and I think it’s so important to take care of them. I’d never surfed before. So, they hired an instructor and I caught on quickly. Surfing is another world of athletics and I fell in love with it. I’m definitely into sports and fitness and pushing my body to the limits, physically and emotionally, so I have major respect for athletes.
Did you ever desire to start your acting career in mainstream Hollywood rather than inspirational?
I am excited to take any opportunities that come my way in this industry, mainstream, faith-based, family-friendly, indie, you name it. My hope is always to tell powerful and important stories to whichever audience wants to engage.
You’re a married lady. Tell us how you and your Swiss hubby Gabriel Trüb met? How did he propose?

Yes, being married to Gabriel has changed my whole world. He’s wonderful, and we support each other fully. He asked me to marry him in a song by a waterfall dear to my heart in Alabama.
Will you and your musician hubby collaborate on a movie together in the near future?
I think you’d have to ask him that. I wouldn’t put the idea past us, but right now we’re just focusing on the present craziness. I would eventually love to collaborate with him.

Singer Megan Nicolecontinues her career in her first feature since parting ways with Diddy’s Bad Boy Records earlier this year. The young star, who rose to fame on YouTube, was front and center in AOL Originals’ episode titled “Follow Me”. In the video, she slowed down for a little break time with Mom at a restaurant, jumped on beds, and chated with fans online.
Check out the short BTS feature below with special sprinkles of her “Electrified” video in it.
Megan tweeted, “I’m on today’s episode of @aoloriginals FOLLOW ME. Can’t believe they let me jump on beds in the mattress store haha”

BTSCelebs had the wonderful opportunity to interview the leading actress of the inspirational film “The Perfect Wave”. This weekend, the talented Rachel Hendrix virtually sat down to give us a special glimpse behind-the-scenes of her recent movie and so much more.
Before BTSCelebs reviews “The Perfect Wave” DVD, check out our sensational chat.
Part one begins now-
BTSCelebs: Why did you choose to star in “The Perfect Wave”?
Rachel Hendrix: The film chose me, actually. Bruce MacDonald, the director, was familiar with my work in ‘October Baby’ and reached out to me about the part. They offered me the role after a couple Skype sessions.
What was it like performing alongside Clint Eastwood’s son Scott and former Charlie’s Angels actress Cheryl Ladd?
Working with Scott was definitely an adventure. He’s an energetic and magnetic person and he loves what he does. He is very interested in being in his own person and creating his own way in this industry so people not only associate him as Clint’s son, but they value him for the artist he is. It’s hard not too, though. He’s a dead ringer. I unfortunately had no scenes with Cheryl but we had a few opportunities to chat on and off set while filming. Cheryl is a humble and uplifting woman. We were all mushy when she was around.
Describe your most memorable scene with Scott Eastwood.

My most memorable scene with Scott was when my character runs into Lachlan at the bungee jump in South Africa. We were shooting in gale-force winds at the top of the highest bungee jump in the world and my adrenaline was pumping.
Rachel responds to the following questions in part two:

Samuel Goldwyn Films and City On A Hill Studios outdid themselves with this real take on true life behind-the-scenes of the entertainment industry. I loved “Grace Unplugged”, but this inspirational film touched on the areas that Grace shied away from, namely drugs and sex. “The Song” is raw and truly genuine throughout each emotional scene.
Anthem Lights’ Alan Powellbecame recording artist Jed King. His moving performance of a good husband pulled into Satan’s trap of adultery and addiction was heartbreaking. Rose (played by actress Ali Faulkner), on the other hand, is the picture perfect wife you can’t help but side with. Actress Caitlin Nicol-Thomas portrayed clever seductress Shelby 100%.
Singles and couples need to see this film. It shows what lies, drugs and adultery can do to any happy marriage. “The Song” encourages that faith in God and sobriety are the main elements that can propel relationships in the right directions.
BTSCelebs sends a special thanks to Icon Media Group, Samuel Goldwyn Film, City On A Hill Studios and Lori Lenz-Heiselman for the opportunity to view “The Song” screener.
David Dunn‘s debut mini album “Crystal Clear” is exactly what every Christian recording artist should be doing today. This album’s biggest charm is that it appeals to the modern audience by giving them a dose of great music instead of wearing listeners out with many songs they get bored with. Save your voice and captivate the masses!
David is an artist unlike any in Christian music before him. Sure, his voice sounds like a wonderful blend of Greg Long and Anthony Evans, but the lyrics run so much deeper. You have to listen to each of the songs on “Crystal Clear” to discover the deeper meaning behind them. The stand out tracks are “Have Everything”, “Today Is Beautiful”, “Nothing Left”.
By now, you have probably absorbed his debut album. So, I won’t describe the sound of each track. I’ll explain what it means to me instead.
It Is Well– God has complete control over your life no matter the circumstance. Everything should be well with Christians’ souls, because we are well taken care by God. To be honest, this song shocked me. I expected to hear a typical church hymn, but I was pleasantly surprised by the complete change of pace.
Have Everything – I love the music and arrangement of this song. It is impossible to not replay this single. The message describes a person’s desperation to find God and their willingness to give Him their entire life. They give “everything” to God. There is so much more to “Have Everything” than what I described. It’s deep.
Today Is Beautiful– Experience life the way God intended. David tells listeners to stop focusing on the small problems in your life. You miss God’s beautiful days by only paying attention to Satan’s little distractions.
Nothing Left – We all struggle with loving our enemies, but that is what “Nothing Left” is all about. God instructs us to love everyone on earth the way He does. This commandment trumps all the others. Jesus Christ told us in the Holy Bible, that if we love our neighbors we won’t be compelled to break the other 10 commandments.
This song should have been on the soundtrack of “Divergent”. I love the futuristic sound so much… I would want to feature it in “Neewollah Murder” if I ever make it into a movie.
Waiting For Love – People are searching for God’s help and His love to come and rescue them. God sent His son, Jesus Christ, to die for the sins of the world. God’s love has always been there; it is up to us to turn to Him and pray.
I highly recommend this album. I’ll close my review with a quote from David about the true meaning of his single “Crystal Clear”.
“Most of the time if you’re willing to love somebody the way God intended, however, it’s going to be difficult, and you’re really opening up yourself to be squashed. Rather than focusing on the false perception that love is supposed to make me happy, this song is like a hammer. Love is the reason we are here. Love has turned into what makes me feel good, which I think is absolutely ruining relationships across the board.”
*A Special Thanks to Merge PR and David Dunn for the photos and digital version of “Crystal Clear” *
Don’t settle for Satan’s lies, only believe in God’s best.
Sarah Jakes’ newest book “Colliding With Destiny” describes the pain of life we all experience and compares it with Ruth’s. We (Christians) try so hard to hide our problems, and settle for less than God’s best because we feel God has forgotten us and we can’t do any better.
In her sophomore project, Sarah tells us to use our past mistakes and setbacks as a testimony to encourage other people. Christians can even use it to encourage themselves to aim for better in their life. Ruth’s husband died, and she devoted her life to taking care of her widowed mother-in-law. Picking up scarps of grain leftover from harvesters led her to meet the landowner, Boaz, which changed her life forever.
“Colliding With Destiny” quotes the book of Ruth and ends each chapter with a prayer to God. Sarah’s purpose for this book is to lead believers to search the scriptures for evidence that their blessed future is coming.
I recommend this book to anyone who wants to be encouraged. If life has throw you the worst punches possible and you need hope that everything will work out for your good, then Sarah’s book is for you.
I love the following words from “Colliding With Destiny”:
“We all must set our price, and it can’t fluctuate depending on who’s interested. Your price is your price… Don’t give yourself away to the lowest bidder because you’re afraid no one else will want you.”
*BTSCelebs thanks Bethany House for the complimentary copy of the book.*
SHINee‘s youngest member recently made his solo debut. Lee Taemin released his chart topping mini album titled “Ace” last month, and Chicago based choreographer Ian Eastwood helped him put together the fantastic moves for his “Danger” stage.
ShaWols around the world had the opportunity to see the two working together in an exclusive behind-the-scenes video of “Danger”.
