SHINee’s lovable leader Onew turns 24 years old today (American age). BTSCelebs is taking a little time this weekend to wish him a very happy birthday.
Onew (real name Lee Jin Ki) began his music career in South Korea with SHINee in May of 2008. Their hit single “Replay” shot their band to superstardom. Since then, Onew has acted in musicals like “Rock Of Ages”, numerous TV series, MCed music shows and so much more!
SHINee debuted in Japan in 2011 with remixes of their hit singles. BTSCelebs hopes Onew’s band makes an official debut in the USA soon (preferably in Chicago,IL first).
Onew injured his neck during “Everybody” promotions in October, but he is on the mend.

Bears’ backup QB Josh McCown helped his team to victory on a frigid Monday night. The freezing temps meant nothing to the fuzzy teddy bears of the field. Their 45-28 win over the Dallas Cowboys let McCown reach Concannon status with 5 touchdowns in one game.

Dance into Christmas!
Robert Joffrey‘s timeless classic “The Nutcracker” (2013) took the audience on a sweet magical ride on December 6th. BTSCelebs attended the opening night in Roosevelt University’s Auditorium Theatre in Chicago,IL. The ballet started on Christmas Eve in an American home in the 1850s. The family Christmas party resembled a Rodgers and Hammerstein production with their colorful formal wear and ballroom dancing.

Everything quickly turned into a magical show when Dr. Drosselmeyer brought his elaborate toys for his Godchildren Clara and Fritz.

When everyone retired for the evening, the restless little girl Clara returned to the Christmas tree to play with the beloved nutcracker her Godfather gave her. Downstairs, the mice chased Clara and frighten her, but the reliable Dr. Drosselmeyer saved her and took his goddaughter into 3 different worlds filled with dancing toys and snow royalty.

Joffrey perfectly blended other cultures in the final scene. Spain, China, The Middle East, and Russia were represented through dancers taking on the roles of chocolate, coffee, tea, and nougats.

There is so much superb dancing you have to see “The Nutcracker” more than once to thoroughly enjoy each dancer’s performance.
BTSCelebs highly recommends people of all ages to enjoy this Christmas classic.
“The Nutcracker” will run thru December 28th at the Auditorium Theatre.

Women deserve to be successful, but is this the BEST way?
ABC’s “Scandal” has hypnotized viewers across the world. People of all nationalities have fallen in love with the powerful and successful Olivia Pope (played by Kerry Washington). However, BTSCelebs is not entirely happy with the whole series’ scenario.
Granted, I have never viewed an episode of the show so I’m objectively discussing the purpose of the show. I believe that Olivia can be an even better main character without her affair with the president. It’s upsetting to see a positive example of successful woman lower herself to be apart of a adulterous affair with a man representing the highest career in America.
As an American, I think anything that discusses the topic of the First family (real or fiction). needs to be treated with respect.
I have no idea how the viewers dismiss the little things that matter the most. BTSCelebs feels “Scandal” can be a moving program with some elements removed.
Austin has a new fan!
The “Dear Secret Santa” actress Jordin Sparks discovered a new friend at the EMAs last month. She took a selfie with teen heartthrob Austin Mahone when he performed with her beau Jason.
