BTSCelebs Review: “I’ve Got a Life in Kalamazoo”
Do you love vintage television, but wish they could tackle current trends/events?
“I’ve Got a Life in Kalamazoo“ is the show for you! Ed Asner, Marion Ross and Vicki Lewis shine in their roles as the Hoyer family. People with Kalamazoo roots have welcomed their daughter and her husband back to their hometown.
Nilah Hoyer (Vicki Lewis) is best friends with gay man Clayton Croft (Patrick W. Ziegler). His partner of one year is Anthony Publes (Bill Mendieta aka Ricky Ricardo). Nilah and Clayton’s friendship is heartwarming and you can’t help but admire the love they have for one another.
Her parents, Bob and Imelda Hoyer (Asner and Ross), have enjoyed their lives and now Imelda obsesses about kicking the bucket, while Bob is full of life. Bob has hilarious one liners that keep you engaged in the show.
Episodes 1 and 2 were filmed in Chicago this weekend. In the first episode, an elder gay friend dies and Clayton tries to maintain his secret life in Kalamazoo and live free in his home in Chicago. In Episode 2, Imelda tries to feel more at ease with living in Kalamazoo and accidentally tells Clayton she spilled the beans about his gay life to her parents.
I was overjoyed to seeing Bill Mendieta again and I thought everyone’s acting was very good. They are all talented actors who can easily make you believe they are the characters they portray. However, I didn’t see the need to constantly discuss Clayton being gay. His sexuality shouldn’t have been the main focal point. No one discussed being a heterosexual, and it would have been great to just see the two friends display their amazing friendship.
Also, I would have loved to see more interaction between Nilah and her parents. Viewers miss the iconic actors of the past and desire more face time with them.
That is just my two quarters!

Shahrukh Khan and Aamir Khan to Sing for “Bombay Talkies”
The Khan men are collaborating!
According to Bollywood Life, superstars Shahrukh Khan and Aamir Khan will be performing a song together. It’s the representative tune to a group of short films titled “Bombay Talkies“.
Leading ladies Kareena Kapoor, Katrina Kaif, Priyanka Chopra and Deepika Padukon will be featured in the song too.
“Bombay Talkies” is a film honoring a century of India cinema and these stars will definitely do it justice!

Psy’s “Gentleman” Video Surpasses 27 Million Views
It’s only been a day and the YouTube sensation is already breaking records!
K-Pop superstar Psy released his music video for “Gentleman” on April 13th. His raunchy (PG-13 rated) video has surpassed Justin Bieber‘s record for the most views in one day. The South Korean star is staying true to his craft, while entertaining the masses.
In the video, he is anything but a “Gentleman”. Nonetheless, Psy is well on his way to a billion views once again!

Rupali Ganguly is Expecting Her First Child
The “Satrangee Parachute” star is ready to greet her own little one.
Newlywed Rupali Ganguly is pregnant with her first child with hubby Ashwin Verma. Rupali and her beloved businessman tied the knot on February 7th, 2013. They were surprised with a honeymoon baby.
The couple is overjoyed with the news of their bundle of joy, but they asked fans to keep them in their prayers. Rupali shared that this is a high risk pregnancy.

Chicago Artist Vanessa Navarrete Talks to BTSCelebs
BTSCelebs: Who inspired you to become an artist?
Vanessa Navarrete: My inspiration to be an artist is based on my need to translate my passion into something physical and permanent…..to create harmony and beauty out of what I perceive as chaos in life. It is my consolation and catharsis.
What type of art do you create?
I make abstract expressionist oil paintings.
What materials do you use in your artwork?
I primarily use oil on canvas and wood panel, but I also like to experiment with collage, molding paste, and metallic paints.
How long does it take to make one piece?
The duration of each piece varies widely from a single day to several months depending on the size and other variables during the creation.
If there was one celebrity you would want to adorn their walls with your art, who would it be and why?
I’m not into contemporary mass culture and prefer the silent stars of the 1920s. I would have liked the modern dance pioneer and choreographer Martha Graham to have owned one of my pieces. Her work and life are a great inspiration to me.
Which motion picture production (TV series or movie) would you love to showcase your work in their films?
I would like my work to be showcased in a serious documentary about contemporary art.
What do you want people to experience thru your art?
I would like to help put people in touch with the infinite, to dream more and feel the stirrings of their own vitality springing to life……to transcend the moment and perhaps see through the layers of reality. I want to be part of the glory of what it is to be human, a source of beauty and inspiration.
Please tell us your artistic plans for 2013-2014:
I am currently working on a large series of miniature oil paintings on panel. It is to be a collection of vivid daydreams.

Toonz Animation to Debut Animated “Krrish”
Hrithik Roshan and Priyanka Chopra‘s movie “Krrish” will be made in a children’s series.
Toonz Animation plans to create a total of 4 movies based on the Bollywood sci-fi movie franchise. Ms. Chopra is scheduled to be a voice talent in the production. “Kid Krrish” will be number 1 in the pack of 4.
