SHINee Forums International’s JoAnn Interview with BTSCelebs – Part 1

As you know, I’m a big SHINee. The five member boy group has had my heart since 2009. I love their Boys Over Flowers soundtrack single “Stand By Be” and their debut song “Replay”.

BTSCelebs had the opportunity to speak with an admin from one of their largest online fan clubs, SHINee Forums International.

JoAnn talks about the global ShaWols forum and her experience being a fan of SHINee.

BTSCelebs: Give us the backstory… Why was SHINeee.net created?

I wasn’t around back in 2008, but our mission that’s lasted throughout the years has always been to support SHINee as much as possible, provide a universal place for fans to come together, and introduce new fans to SHINee by making information more easily accessible.

Are you affiliated with SM Entertainment?

No, but we aspire to be in the future.

Describe the yearly offline activities SHINeee.net takes part in? Has SHINee joined in on the activities?

Whenever SHINee appears at a concert in the US, we do our best to make sure SHINee is able to feel the support of international fans. We often distribute cheer packs along with various types of support merchandise. We also take part in fan conventions like KPOPCON and KCON to spread the love of SHINee further.

Have you ever seen SHINee perform live?

Yes, quite a lot actually! I’ve seen them at most of their US performances, their first Japan Arena Tour, and I’ll be attending their second Japan Arena Tour this coming summer.

A Drink With Talks to BTSCelebs – Part 1

Do you love learning more about celebrities? How about wanting to get a drink with your favorite local star?

Well, “A Drink With Chicago” does just that. Hillary and Kelly meet with celebrities in the Chicago area and discover the BTS of their career and life in the city. They have interviewed numerous celebs including: Bill and Giuliana Rancic, Bears’ Robbie Gould, Kerry and Sarah Wood and Windy City Live hosts Ryan Chiaverini and Billy Dec.

They had a virtual drink with BTSCelebs to talk a little more about their backstory and brand.

BTSCelebs: What made you decide to launch “A Drink With Chicago”?

A Drink With Chicago: We both studied broadcast journalism in college. We moved from Detroit to Chicago and took sales jobs in the city just to support ourselves while looking for our dream jobs. We fell in love with Chicago and decided we didn’t want to leave to report and produce in a small town so we started the website as a hobby to keep us in the journalism world. One thing led to another and we quickly realized we’d be able to turn our passion into a business and reputable and trusted online publication.

What is your favorite drink to have while interviewing celebrities?

Lately our drink of choice has been a Moscow Mule but we like to drink whatever the person we are interviewing is drinking!

Have you ever met a celebrity that didn’t drink? How did you deal with it?

Many people we interview don’t drink. We like to have coffee, tea and smoothies with people too!

Who is your favorite interviewee so far?

That’s always a tough question! We always tend to say the most recent person we’ve interviewed, so today it would be Taj Gibson from the Bulls but Jamie Masada, the founder of the Laugh Factory, was awesome and is on top of our list! His story is so inspirational! And he is someone we went in knowing little about. We had a great time with Jeremy Piven and Jenny McCarthy so we’ll always remember that.

BTSCelebs has interviewed athletes Rex Flodstrom and Kyle Adams and I really enjoyed reading your Robbie Gould feature, What is your dream athlete interview?

Another tough question! It’s almost too hard to pick. Do we go with a legend or up-and-coming athlete? Michael Jordan would be at the top of our list. And as Detroiters, Steve Yzerman from the Red Wings would be pretty cool too.

Expanding Ganier Designs to create stylish lingerie would be one of my long-term goals as long as there is a demand for it. If the Steve Harvey Women’s Collection started a lingerie line in the future, I would love the opportunity to lend my creativity to the design process.

Reality fashion shows are hot on TV, Will there be an Elysia Ganier reality series in the works?
A lot of talent has been discovered through reality fashion shows. You never now what opportunities will be presented that can be career changing- Let’s wait and see.

I was hacked.

My Twitter account is gone and I now have to retrieve it. BTSCelebs has 100% respect for Miss Demi Lovato and I’m appalled someone lied to BTSCelebs about a Twitter Takeover.

I apologize for the #DemiBTSTakeover and Alexander Bechet feature.

A Calvin Klein representative and Mr. Bechet’s agent from MGM Models has disclosed that someone impersonated Mr. Alexander Bechet. I have removed the interview.

I forgive them and BTSCelebs will move on and be more careful in the future.

Welcome to BTSCelebs‘ Fashion interview!

Steve Harvey “Designing Moms Challenge” winner Elysia Ganier inspired women all over the country with her superb dress for the modern woman. Her functional day & evening gown is now available at K&G Fashion Superstore under Steve Harvey Women’s Collection.

Who inspired her to design? How long does it take to create and what was her behind-the-scenes experience on the Steve Harvey TV show? Discover the answers to those questions in part 1 of BTSCelebs’ interview with designer Elysia Ganier.

BTSCelebs: Who inspired you to begin designing?

Elysia Ganier: To her credit, my mother introduced the world of sewing to me. As a child, many of my clothes were made by my mother….but what motivated me to begin designing was when I learned how to manipulate the commercial pattern in a home economics course I took my freshman year of high school.

How long does it take you to create one ensemble?

There are many factors to consider, but on average, it takes me approximately two to three days to create one ensemble.

Tell us any behind-the-scenes information about competing on the Steve Harvey TV Show….. Was there a “wow” moment we didn’t see on-screen during the designing process?

Filming behind the scenes was a wonderful experience and as excited as I was for being chosen, I knew this was a competition and I had to “Bring It”. On day one, I was able to drape a sample of what my design was going to look like…..My wow moment came when I realized that I picked the wrong fabric and had to come up with a whole new design in less then 2 hours- using the same fabric. My original concept for the Steve Harvey Collection was to create an evening wear piece which is why my fabric was so elaborate. I later learned that the Challenge was to create a “Work to Wherever” piece. That was the very moment that all of my creativity sprung forward and I envisioned the winning look you see today!

BTSCelebs had the honor of interviewing one of the most talented duo’s on YouTube. Double Take brings you covers to the songs you love and now you can learn a little more about them.

This is part 2 of BTSCelebs’ interview with Double Take:

BTSCelebs: Many stars have developed their careers thru YouTube, but no one has surpassed Psy’s billion views. Are you aiming to reach Psy’s YouTube success?

Double Take: We always take in other people’s success as motivation and inspiration, but our biggest dream is to be able to share our music to the world regardless of YouTube popularity. Hopefully when we have created enough of a fan base, we can debut our original content to our fans that we are currently working on.

What is the ultimate goal of Double Take?

Ultimately, Double Take would love to be signed to a major record label because our one true goal is to penetrate the American music industry and change the perceptions of Asian-American artists. We feel that the most efficient way to do this is to work with major record labels and their resources.

Are you aware you are celebrity look-a-likes? (Ryan Higa and Jared Eng)

We have recently seen a surge in comments about how Don Nguyen looks like Ryan Higa, but Brian Luu has never been compared to Jared Eng. Our fans have compared Brian as a look-a-like to Siva (The Wanted) and Taylor Lautner (Twilight).

Have Double Take fans created fan clubs for you?

A fan just recently made a Twitter fan club for us this past week! Our fans have done so much for us already by subscribing and sharing our content. They mean the world to us and have done more for us than we could have ever imagined. We have so much to be grateful for and cherish every single fan we have. Just an interesting example is an international fan played our cover on her radio station. Their continued support has given us the strength to continue to do what we love to do.
