Pat Smith brings hope to women everywhere!

The lady who suffered for years after losing her mom to cancer in her early twenties discovered the only way to “treasure” herself was through her faith in God. She slowly found her way after one failed marriage and rocky beginnings with current hubby Emmitt. In her book “Second Chances”, Pat describes the inner struggles she had to overcome, and shares heartbreaking trials many women endured before their situations turned for the better. The inspirational publication ends with Mrs. Smith telling women how to truly value themselves, while using their testimonies to help others.

It took me awhile to finish this book because some of the hardships the women had to endure made me cringe. Their stories helped me realize that many of us have nothing to complain about!  They overcame so much (example disease, assault, domestic violence, etc), and still have a servant’s heart. Their main goal was to ensure a better life for others. I was in awe by their incredible journeys!

I recommend this book to anyone who wants to be inspired to keep going in life after numerous hardships have come their way. You will be blessed.
