Brandon Mychal Smith is more than ready for his silver screen debut next month as Little Richard in “Get On Up”. Today, the former Disney star instgrammed a photo of himself on set with a fellow cast member dressed as the star himself.

It’s Round 3!
BTSCelebs is currently reading the third book in the Drew Fathering Mystery series entitled Murder At the Mikado. After being shocked by the Rules of Murder and entertained with Death by the Book, we shall see what the third book has in store for us.

Mary Mary’s Season 2 cast member/brother-in-law Desmond Jamison recently attended the ESPY awards and tweeted all about it. The proud new daddy shared a series of photos he took with timeless influential athletes Laila Ali, Lisa Leslie and Jalen Rose.
“#Espys fun last night with @TheRealLailaAli,” was the caption for his friendly image above.

Karen Witemeyer’s latest novel “Full Steam Ahead” follows a Louisiana Shipping heir on a mission to find a husband to continue her family’s business. Nicole Renard embarks on the journey with a precious family heirloom that puts her life in danger. Nicole’s obsession with keeping the treasure almost kills her and her husband-to-be, Darius Thornton. Their unlikely love story never would have materialized if it wasn’t for the beloved heirloom, a dagger.
BTSCelebs was utterly surprised by the story that started with tragedy and slowly worked its way back to dangerous action. The series of events were unexpected as they unfolded.
The supporting characters, in particular, were a little hard to accept. From the ailing father to the young thief turned honest worker, the cast failed to tug at the heartstrings. The mention of a former slave, which historically would have been around in the 1840s, wasn’t necessary to tell the tale. It seemed very demeaning in a fictional book. The following quote stood out among the rest when describing the cook named Mrs. Graham:
“I suppose it’s natural for a former slave to feel that way, but no matter how many times I explain that Arthur and I are servants on equal footing with her, she refuses to come to the table at lunch, preferring to take a plate out on the back porch and eat on the stairs….”
Unfortunately, I didn’t enjoy this book so I wouldn’t recommend it.

The iconic “I Dream of Jeanine” TV series continues to be syndication decades after the last episode aired in 1970. Barbara Eden and the late Larry Hagman originally brought the unlikely love story between an astronaut and his female genie to life.
I wondered… what actors could win our hearts all over again if the show were ever to be rebooted? BTSCelebs feels the show would appeal most to the modern audience if the roles were reversed. A male genie and a mortal “professional” female. I would love to see young actors Shia Labeouf and Blake Lively in the roles.
The pair has played in controversial roles over the years, but they have also won me over in some of their family friendly projects. Shia’s acting in “Even Stevens” and the “Transformers” series alone makes him qualified to be a comedic yet lovable genie. Blake’s “Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants” character proved she can be a loyal lady all the way.
This is just my personal opinion, but you can’t stop a girl from dreaming!
This time last year, two of CCM’s beloved singers were joined in holy matrimony. Rebecca St. James’ little bro, Joel Smallbone, followed in his big sis’ footsteps by marrying the young lady of his dreams.
