Catherine Davis: “We Can Advocate for Abstinence Until Marriage and Adoption”

BTSCelebs: The father is not always missing in action, why don’t some of the fathers step up to the plate or encourage them to give up their babies for adoption?

Catherine Davis: This question assumes the father even knew the woman was pregnant. 80% of the abortions occur in the first trimester and the woman has no obligation to tell the father of her decision. At the same time the culture has so embedded abortion as a woman’s right, some men do encourage its use as a convenient method of birth control. Nothing is more heartbreaking though, than that man that did step up to the plate and encouraged the woman to have the child, but the woman “chose” to terminate its life anyway.

Do you think race or income level plays a factor?

Race is absolutely a factor in abortion. More than 80% of abortion centers are located in urban areas where blacks and other minorities reside. Some physicians have confessed they don’t want “ugly black babies” on the taxpayers dime , assuming all if not most of those seeking abortion are black and poor. As Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg informed us in her 2009 New York Times interview, there was concern about population control when Roe v. Wade was decided, particularly “populations we don’t want too many of”.  What population is that? We need look no further than Planned Parenthood Founder Margaret Sanger’s Negro Project.

What can we do to encourage the women to keep their babies and give them a loving home?

We can sound the alarm that abortion is being used as the primary instrument to control the birth rates of those America’s elite consider unworthy of life. We can advocate against the unfettered sexual activity abortionists promote in order to increase the chances of pregnancy so their multi-billion dollar industry can continue to thrive. We can advocate for abstinence until marriage and adoption. We can provide assistance to the woman such as is provided through pregnancy resource centers across America.

Catherine Davis: “64% of Abortions Occur Because Women Are Pressured…”

BTSCelebs: What influenced you to join the Black ProLife Coalition and start The Restoration Project?

Catherine Davis: There is a very clear and very real impact that abortion is having on the black community in particular (and communities of color in general) that wasn’t addressed. The Black Prolife Coalition and The Restoration Project were founded to make this disproportionate impact of abortion known throughout the nation. There are many other areas in which the family is disproportionately impacted (education, imprisonment, health to name a few) and The Restoration Project addresses those areas, as well as, working to inform, educate and activate.

Was there one moment in your life that compelled you to make the “Runaway Slave” documentary?

More like a series of moments. My hearts breaks every time I think about the impact America’s liberal public policies have had on blacks. To name a few: more than 70% of black families are headed by single females, more than 40% of black America is illiterate; many believe our public schools are nothing more than pipelines to the prison system for young black men who are 40% of the prison population.  Someone had to connect the dots and warn the community and I could not help but join C. L to sound the alarm.

Why do think so many women abort their unborn babies?

The abortion industry approached the two groups that were most civilly dead in America: women and blacks – who were both considered property of others, rather than individual human beings. They framed their population control agenda in terms that would bestow a new civil right on these groups: the right to determine what they would do with their bodies. The desire to achieve civil rights drowned out the woman’s maternal yearnings, turning the most safe, most sacred place for a child into a stronghold of terror.

What is the typical age range of pregnant women aborting their babies and do family members persuade their decision?

About 58% of abortion minded women are in their 20s, 22% in their 30s. There are reports that about 64% of the abortions are not a result of “choice” but occur because the woman was pressured by a spouse, parent, minister, partner or other person in a position of authority.

Next Week: Catherine Davis discusses the father’s role in the abortion issue, race/income level and what we can do to help these pregnant women.

BTSCelebs Interview Guest – Catherine Davis: Abortion Abolitionist

Catherine is fighting to end the slavery of abortion.

BTSCelebs is mostly about the entertainment field, but this week an important topic (which was recently brought to my attention) is here to take center stage.

The topic is abortion and the expert to discuss this delicate subject is founder and president of The Restoration Project/activist for the Black ProLife Coalition Catherine Davis. She is also behind the newly released documentary “Runaway Slave“.

Next week, BTSCelebs will share part one of the compelling interview with Ms. Davis. She responded to the following questions:

What influenced you to join the Black ProLife Coalition and start The Restoration Project?

Was their one moment in your life that compelled you to make the “Runaway Slave” documentary?

Why do think so many women abort their unborn babies?

What is the typical age range of pregnant women aborting their babies and do family members persuade their decision?

Album Review – All Kings All Poets: “What We’ve Become”

It’s Relient K meets Oklahoma City!

On October 5th,2012, the new Christian rock band (hailing from Oklahoma) All Kings All Poets released their debut album “What We’ve Become”. Bassist Corey Keller and drummer Duncan Grantz are the duo behind the name. They have joined forces after years of being apart of popular rock groups A Sequence of Ghosts and Starlit Platoon.

“What We’ve Become” reminds me of Relient K’s hit album “The Anatomy of the Tongue in Cheek”. The project is produced by Cody Nichols (Rapture Ruckus, Sean Lee) and features The Dangerous Summer‘s AJ Perdomo for the single “What I Need”.

The album is 7 tracks of pure rock fun with a good message! Check out my complete review of “What We’ve Become” below:

Under These Lights – This song talks about wanting to change your ways. The singer is willing to give up everything to find the dream. He consistently asks to be taken home (which the listener assumes is heaven or the path to a righteous life on earth). The tune starts out like a screeching sound and continues with a steady upbeat rock sound and pronounced drum beat.

What I Need – Addictions (drinking and smoking) hasn’t satisfied the singer and his empty life meant nothing without God. He gets the chance to start over again. God has given him a new outlook and a new life to live. The 80s pop sound brings the past to the present.

I’ll Be Fine – After being broken by the world (worldly desires, lusts, etc), its time to return to God. An unforgiving spirit or bitterness won’t lead you on the right path to Heaven. You have to let go of everything in order to find the righteous road to Heaven. This single has electric, hectic sound with a powerful message.

Forgiveness – If we can all just find forgiveness everything will be alright. This is a song about crying out to God to change them and help them find a heart of forgiveness. A slower pop rock song accompanies this message.

Separate States – This single talks about their performances glorifying God. They perform in various locations for the One who fills their souls and keeps them alive. Nothing compares to their ultimate home with God, but they aren’t ready yet. The band has a long way to go in life before their do all God wants them to achieve in life.

Privilege – Falling in love may break your heart, but the soloist counts it as a privilege to have his heart broken by the girl he loves. He feels like it was destined for them to be together and he is willing to put his heart on the line. Love is worth it. “Privilege” is a guitar- driven ballad.

I’ll Be Fine (Acoustic Version)

Brittany Hargest Releases “Put It All Together” Music Video

Following the exclusive release on Tommy2.Net yesterday, former Jump5 member Brittany Hargest finally shares her music video with the public.

Brittany Tweets: “My “Put It All Together” music video is up on youtube, check it out and let me know what you think…”

In my opinion, Brittany had one of the best underrated CCM pop albums of 2011. Her voice is even better than it was back in her J5 days. There isn’t a bad song on the “Put It All Together” album! The stand outs to me are “Miracle” and “Bring The Party”, but “Put It All Together” is right up there in the top three.

BTSCelebs highly recommends “Put It All Together”!
